5 tips for a happier you:
1st may, 2018

these are some of my personal tips that i incorporate into my life to make myself the best "me" possible:
1. slow down, and take your time.
whether its sitting down, reading a magazine at your local coffee shop, instead of fleeing with a takeaway, into your car, rushing and tearing through your morning routine.
2. take your vitamins sisters!
i take a multivitamin every morning & without it i can really notice how much it helps me get through everyday.
it helps my immune system, loads me up with iron (so i'm not a dizzy mess), calcium, vitamin B12 and so much more goodness.
3. show yourself some LOVE.
each week i put a side at least one night to pamper and show my mind, body, spirit and soul some love.
i do this by: dry brushing before a shower (if you haven't heard of dry brushing i suggest you look it up, the benefits are endless and its a great way to show your body a little loving). in the shower i use all my favourite products on my face and body, once out of the shower i put on a face mask, get my favourite comfy clothes on and sit on my bed and write all the things i'm grateful for in my diary.
this helps me to appreciate the small things and to look back on the day i've had. after i've finished journalling, i wash off my mask, moisturise my face and fill my body with a wholesome dinner.
i believe that when you fill your body with healthy, nutritious foods, it is an act of self love and appreciation for the body you have been given.
before bed i like to make myself a "night time" tea, filled with camomile, passionflower and lemon balm, this helps me to calm my mind and to fall asleep easier. at night i also have made it a ritual to drop 2-3 drops of lavender oil on my pillow, and then i make sure to have an early night so my body and mind can rest up before the day ahead.
4. surround yourself with family and friends who love and support you for the person you truly are.
my friend often says to me "your vibe attracts your tribe", and its so true!
if you want people around you that glow and lift your spirits then you need to be that person for someone else first.
its these people that inspire you to do great things and by doing great things you will be your happiest. the people around you, view you entirely different to how you view yourself. they see your full potential and your qualities and encourage you to pursue the things that you love and to jump at opportunities that will make you grow and shine.
5. be active.
whether you decide to run on a tread mill, walk to the beach with a coffee in your hand, sweat out a gym session, or ride your bike to pick up groceries. however you choose to be active, will still benefit YOU.
after doing a minimum of 2o minutes of exercise each day, your brain produces a "feel good" feeling known as endorphins. endorphins help to reduce stress, allow you to think clearer, be more optimistic and maintain motivation.
i hope these five tips
that i incorporate into my life, can help you also.
love al
